Anyone Read This One?

As I Have Loved You by Kitty deRuyter-Bons

Has anyone read this? (This may be the book Conna was referring to at our get together?) I'm wondering if we could read this along with our November pick, I Am Malala ?

Or we can save it for later :) So many books, so little time!!

Welcome! Let's talk about books!

Welcome! This blog is a place created for the discussion of books. We will try to meet once a month, but for when we cannot meet, I wanted a place for us to comment and discuss anyway. There may be some who never are able to make the get togethers, and that's fine, I would still love to hear what everyone is reading and what they think! I am trying out using a blog to see if it will serve us. If it does, great, if not, we will try something else. I plan to make the blog private, but not exclusive. If you know someone who would like to be invited, let me know and we can do that. If you would like to write a post, great, let me know and we can do that too! Bookish Get Togethers Our get togethers will alternate between a social get together and a book discussion of a particular book. So we will always have 2 months to read the decided upon book. EDIT - date change!! Book Club Get Together August 14th (not the 15th)

Hi Ladies! Let's meet and talk about what books we are reading and what we want to read this year on Tuesday, August 14th at 8pm at my house.  We will discuss Girls on the Edge in September. I think it will be Thursday, September 6th at 8pm, but we will have to see for sure as the time gets closer. For any youth that want to read something with us let's read "Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan. I just finished this one and it would be good probably for 9 and up? Maybe 8 and up even. I really liked it and am hoping to read it with my 9 year old.  Hoping to see some of you next week! For anyone that is following along with us but can't make the get togethers, just leave your comments about what you want to read on this post.
